Understanding Cookies and Digital Identifiers
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit Pynexia Tech (pynexia.com). Similar technologies include browser local storage, session storage, and security tokens.
In compliance with Section 6 of India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, Pynexia Tech strictly separates cookies into essential operational storage and non-essential analytical/functional storage, granting you granular consent management over all non-essential identifiers.
Cookie Categorization and Purposes
We categorize all cookies used across our web ecosystem into four distinct classes:
- 1. Strictly Necessary Cookies (Always Active): Essential for the core security and basic operation of our platform. These cookies manage user authentication sessions (e.g. auth_token), maintain Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) defenses, route server requests, and enforce access control. These cannot be deactivated as the platform cannot function without them.
- 2. Performance & Analytics Cookies (User Controlled): Help us measure anonymous platform performance, page load times, bandwidth utilization, and error frequencies. These metrics are processed in aggregate without identifying individual students, helping us identify bottlenecked servers and improve site speed.
- 3. Functional & Preference Cookies (User Controlled): Allow our platform to remember your personalized settings—including active dashboard theme, layout compactness, code editor syntax preferences, and video playback speeds—ensuring a seamless learning experience across logins.
- 4. Marketing & Communications Cookies (User Controlled): Used to evaluate the reach of technology webinar announcements, educational scholarships, and student referral programs. Pynexia Tech does not sell user tracking data or engage in behavioral advertising targeted at minors.
